Tourism
The province’s climate is continental temperate, with cool winters and warm summers. The annual average temperature fluctuates between 10º and 18º Celsius. The rainy season occurs during the summer and the average rainfall is 800 millimeters per year.
There is also a variety of local climates and microclimates that justify Cordoba’s fame as a national tourist destination since the end of the last century and the beginning of the current one.
A dense system of small creeks, rivers, artificial dams in various valleys within the province and a large saltwater lake, Mar Chiquita, display a unique hydric reality.
Lastly, it is worth mentioning that Cordoba enjoys an important level of participation in Argentine tourism. Its natural features and location are the main causes for this development. Each year, around five million tourists visit the province, and the sector represents an income of over one billion dollars.
